PUUNENE – Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company recently launched the 2015 HC&S Community Initiative, a follow-up to the community grant program initiated in 2014.

Grant applications and information are available on the HC&S website. All grant applications must be submitted by July 31, 2015.

Rick Volner, HC&S general manager, said, “This year, we are focusing on projects, programs and organizations that enrich the lives of Maui’s kids and their families – the foundation for Maui’s future.”

In 2014, the initiative awarded $100,000 in grants on Maui, in addition to another $345,000 donated to Maui non-profits by Alexander & Baldwin’s Kokua Giving program. For information, visit www.hcsugar.com.
