LAHAINA – Lahainaluna High School has scheduled days for incoming students to pay school fees, take photos and pick up class schedules in Hale Pa’ina.

The schedule is: FRESHMEN, Class of 2019, Monday, July 13, 9 to 11 a.m.; SOPHOMORES, Class of 2018, Monday, July 13, 1 to 3 p.m.; JUNIORS, Class of 2017, Tuesday, July 14, 9 to 11 a.m.; SENIORS, Class of 2016, Tuesday, July 14, 1 to 3 p.m.

Photos for school IDs are taken in the summer. Students are asked to dress appropriately – no hats, sunglasses, or strapless tops. Tank tops are not recommended.

Boarders pay fees via mail; check for a summer mailing for additional information.

Mandatory dues for the Classes of 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 are $25: $10 class dues, $10 student government dues (includes the photo ID and handbook/planner), and $5 for quarterly mailings.

Optional fees for all grades include the $25 Maui Interscholastic League Athletic Pass (required of all athletes and boarders), $50 for a Ka Lama 2015 Yearbook, and $5 for a Ka Leo Luna school newspaper subscription.

Fees may be paid by cash only. No personal checks will be accepted, but bank/cashier checks or money orders for the exact amount are acceptable.

Seniors in the Class of 2016 must make sure to schedule an appointment with Nagamine Photo for their senior yearbook portrait. Call 244-3636; all photos must be done by Aug. 30.

School uniforms are available at the following prices: V-neck red shirt, $8; red or white polo shirt, $12. All shirt sales are final and cannot be exchanged.

Teachers will report for the 2015-16 school year on July 23. Freshman orientation will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 30, and new transfer orientation is set for 10 a.m. to noon on July 31 in Hale Pa’ina.
