Town party to feature Classic Car Show
LAHAINA – The April 10 Second Friday Town Party will feature one of the most anticipated events of the year: the third annual Classic Car Show & ’50s Rock and Roll Party.
Both Campbell Park and Front Street’s 600 Block (Prison to Dickenson Street) will come alive with LahainaTown Action Committee’s Classic Car Show.
Campbell Park will host a special performance from Maui Theater’s Darren Lee of “Burn’n Love” from 6 to 7 p.m. and live rock entertainment by the Benny Uyetake Band from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The event will be broadcast via live remote from Campbell Park with KONI 104.7 and Joe Hawkins. Trophies and Cool Cat Cafe gift certificates will be awarded in three categories, plus a Best in Show prize of $500 cash.
The event is co-sponsored by LahainaTown Action Committee, Cool Cat Cafe and the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development.
Applications for classic cars that wish to sign up for the event are available at www.visitlahaina.com. Space is limited to 65 cars, so sign up soon.
