Project Give-a-Gift brings holiday joy to Molokai keiki

For nine years, Maui Preparatory Academy has delivered presents to keiki through Project Give-a-Gift.
NAPILI – With the help of generous community partners, Project Give-a-Gift recently delivered Christmas joy to dozens of children in Child Protective Services on Molokai.
Volunteers from Maui Preparatory Academy, the Will Smith Foundation, Better Together Photography, Goodfellow Brothers and Lahaina Grill made it all possible for these very deserving children. Bikes, skateboards, clothing, tennis shoes and car seats were among the gifts.
This marks the nine-year anniversary of Project Give-a-Gift at Maui Preparatory Academy and the second year of their partnership with the Will Smith Foundation to deliver toys to Molokai.
According to Maui Preparatory Academy, “It has been an incredible year, with the Maui Prep ?’ohana collecting more gifts than ever before.
“We are touched by the strength and resolve of the foster care families that provide a home, family and parenting for children in their care. We are also overwhelmed by the generosity of individual donors and community partners. With their support, we have been able to provide some real gifts to families that need a little extra support.
“Thank you to the Maui Prep ?’ohana, community partners and donors who supported this endeavor with your time, money and knowledge. Mele Kalikimaka to you and your family, and Hau’oli Makahiki Hou.”
