Kidney Clothes Donation Pod moves to Kahana
KAHANA – The Kahana Professional Building has a new donation pod for the Lahaina community. The National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii (NKFH) Kidney Clothes Donation Pod has begun accepting reusable and gently worn clothes, HI-5 recyclables and household items daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This NKFH pod will replace the one that was previously located in Lahaina Town.
The National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii has partnered with Evolution West Management Services LLC to host the pod.
Property Manager Cliff Ogata said, “Community is very important to us, and we are pleased to help our community and know this good work will benefit Maui Kidney Foundation and its work to prevent kidney disease.”
NKFH Kidney Clothes will recycle useable household items, including clothing, accessories, shoes, purses, bedding, curtains, knick-knacks, toys, games, tools and small working appliances.
Residents can begin dropping off items now; a donation attendant will offer tax-deductible receipts seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All donations to Kidney Clothes stay on Maui and support the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii’s kidney screenings and educational programs.
