Lahaina Cannery Mall to pick winner of ‘Very Vegas Christmas’

While you’re shopping, check out the holiday trees decorated with hand-made ornaments by Maui schools and community groups as part of the annual “Festival of Trees” decoration contest.

LAHAINA – Lahaina Cannery Mall will get into the holiday spirit again this year by giving away two tickets to Las Vegas as part of the center’s annual “Very Vegas Christmas” holiday giveaway.

The winner will be drawn at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, at center stage. Visit any Lahaina Cannery Mall merchant for details.

Live holiday entertainment is scheduled each week in December with free performances by Hawaii musicians, halau, church and school groups.

December’s stacked entertainment lineup at Lahaina Cannery Mall includes: Dec. 18 – hula by Te Tiare Patitifa at 7 p.m.; Dec. 19 – Lahaina Baptist Choir at 7 p.m.; Dec. 20 – Lahaina Honolua Senior Citizens Club at 11 a.m. and hula by Te Tiare Patitifa at 1 p.m.; Dec. 21 – Grace Baptist Church at noon and hula by Te Tiare Patitifa at 1 p.m.; Dec. 22 – Maui Brass Ensemble at 6 p.m.; Dec. 23 – hula by Halau Hula O Keola Ali’iokekai at 7 p.m.; Dec. 27 – hula by Hui Lanikila at 1 p.m.; and Dec. 30 – hula by Halau Hula O Keola Ali’iokekai at 1 p.m.

Free holiday gift wrapping will be offered Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. by The Salvation Army Lahaina.

Also this month at Lahaina Cannery Mall, every Tuesday, free ukulele lessons start 5:45 p.m. Every Tuesday and Thursday, a Polynesian Performances Hula Show will be held at 7 p.m. Every Saturday, Keiki Hula Shows begin at 1 p.m., and Maui Toy Works will hold Yu-Gi-Oh Card Sessions from 3 to 5 p.m. Every Sunday, all-ages comedy and magic with Holden Mowat starts at 11:30 a.m., followed by a Keiki Hula Show at 1 p.m.
