‘I Love Lahaina’ to benefit all six West Maui schools

The 2013 event raised $30,000 for West Maui schools.

LAHAINA – Lahaina Cannery Mall this weekend will host “I Love Lahaina,” a fundraising event to benefit all six schools in West Maui

Activities are scheduled on Friday, Nov. 14, from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

This family-friendly community event will feature games, face painting, food booths, pony rides and a bouncy castle.

Enjoy live entertainment by Keali’i Reichel, Kamaka Kukona, Mele Pono and Marty Dread, as well as music performances and art displays by the students themselves.

Bid on exciting experiences and items from local restaurants, activity providers and merchants at the silent and live auctions.

All funds raised will be donated to all six West Maui schools (Sacred Hearts, Maui Preparatory Academy, King Kamehameha III, Princess Nahi’ena’ena Elementary, Lahaina Intermediate and Lahainaluna High School) to help ensure a quality education for the students.

In addition to the “I Love Lahaina” schedule of events, Lahaina Cannery Mall will still feature its regular free hula performances on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m.
