The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset is up and running with a new board.
LAHAINA – With hugs and expressions of aloha, the new Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset last week held its first official meeting and inaugurated the charter board of directors who will serve until July 2015.
Club officers include Co-presidents Jim Fahnestock and Liz May, President-Elect Sandy Schneider and Secretary Phylecia Platte.
Additional board members include Norm Bezane (director of Public Relations), Heidi Dollinger (Vocational Service), Jackie Favors (Community Service), Carmen Karady (Rotary Foundation), Nancy Montoya (Club Service), Leanna Roberts (International Service), Chad Santiago (Membership) and Jenelle Van Eynde-Root (Youth Service).
The new evening club has launched rotarycluboflahainasunsetblog.org and a new Facebook page to celebrate its members and their involvement in the community.
The club encourages former Rotarians who have left the organization, as well as West Maui residents, to join the new club. For more information, call Liz May at 669-5200.
