West Maui lawmakers to hold end-of-session talk story
LAHAINA – Sen. Roz Baker and Rep. Angus McKelvey invite the public to attend their End-of-Session Wrap-up and Talk Story on Tuesday, May 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the West Maui Senior Center.
“This is an opportunity for us to update our community on the variety of bills we passed this session, including the supplemental budget bill. (House Bill) 1700, CD1 contains funding for the executive departments in addition to all the capital improvement projects and grants-in-aid funded by the legislature,” said Sixth District Sen. Baker.
“It’s also an opportunity for our constituents to ask questions about specific measures and share with us any community concerns,” said Tenth District Rep. Angus McKelvey.
“Since the beginning of the session, we’ve worked collaboratively on measures that would positively affect our Maui ohana. Many of the ideas we discussed and debated this session are awaiting action by the governor, and some measures we passed have already become law.”
All interested members of the public are invited to attend. The West Maui Senior Center is located at 788 Pauoa St. in Lahaina.
