Meeting to explain the Kana‘iolowalu campaign
LAHAINA – Na Kupuna O Maui invites all Hawaiians and non-Hawaiians for an educational and informative update on the Native Hawaiian Roll Commission, Kana’iolowalu.
Kana’iolowalu is a campaign to reunify Hawaiians in the self-recognition of the unrelinquished sovereignty of the Hawaiian people.
The Kana’iolowalu petition can be signed by anyone age 18 and over – Hawaiians and non-Hawaiians.
Join Na Kupuna O Maui on Friday, March 21, at 5 p.m. at Na Aikane O Maui at 562 Front St. across from the Shigesh Wakida Tennis Courts for an open discussion on this very important issue in Hawaii today. Guest speakers will include Dennis “Bumpy” Kanahele.
On Prince Kuhio Day, March 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Banyan Tree Park, the public can learn more about the campaign and sign the Kana’iolowalu petition.
