Lahaina Restoration Foundation offers $35,000 in scholarships
LAHAINA – Within the context of its mission, Lahaina Restoration Foundation has proudly awarded numerous scholarships to Lahainaluna High School seniors and alumni for over ten years.
This year, through the generous contribution of an anonymous donor, the foundation will award a total of $35,000 in increments of $2,000 to $2,500 to 11 graduating seniors and six alumni.
Interested seniors and alumni of Lahainaluna must write an essay on topics relating to the importance and challenges of preservation of West Maui’s culture and history, and meet all requirements in order to qualify.
Students may obtain applications from Lahainaluna Financial Aid Counselor Kristi Arakawa or download them from www.lahainarestoration.org.
Applications must be returned no later than 11 a.m. on March 14 to the Lahaina Restoration Foundation office located at 120 Dickenson St., Suite A, Lahaina, HI 96761.
