LAHAINA – Join in on the fun this Saturday morning and have Breakfast with Santa at Sacred Hearts School! This new tradition, now in its third year, is open to the public. Come join the Sacred Hearts ohana in a festive kickoff to Christmas break.

Sit back and enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by Koa’s Seaside Grill, Lulu’s Lahaina Surf Caf, Penne Pasta, Safeway and Starbucks at Lahaina Cannery Mall.

Breakfast will include eggs, sausage, pancakes, rice, fresh fruit, juice and Starbucks coffee. SHS expects to sell out, so reserve your tickets in advance by calling 661-4720. Walk-ins will also be welcome on the day of the event in the school cafeteria on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 8 to 11 a.m.

In related news, Sacred Hearts is the only West Maui school competing in the annual American Savings Bank for Education contest this year, and SHS is in it to win it!

For the past 11 weeks, Sacred Hearts School and Parish members have been opening new checking and savings accounts in an effort to win $50,000. At press time, SHS is a strong contender for the first place prize with 237 new accounts!

Joanna Stockham reported, “Sadly, we are trailing Maui Adventist Preschool by just 34 accounts. So we are calling out to you, our West Maui community, to help us finish strong and capture this much-needed $50,000 prize. The proceeds from the contest will be used to renovate our 40-year-old cafeteria.”

The contest ends on Friday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m.

Stockham added, “If you are an alumni of our school, attend mass at one of our two churches or have simply enjoyed the bazaar for the past 42 years, we hope you will help us by opening an account at American Savings Bank, located in the Foodland parking lot near Jamba Juice. It takes just $30 to open a checking or savings account. Your kokua is greatly appreciated!”
