Pineapples & Pumpkins Fall Celebration set at Lahaina Gateway

Prizes are lined up for Lahaina Gateway’s annual costume contest on Saturday, Oct. 26.
LAHAINA – Visit Lahaina Gateway for its Pineapples & Pumpkins Fall Celebration and find a festival of savings with great shopping, fun events and delicious dining kicking off on Oct. 26 and continuing through Halloween.
On Saturday, Oct. 26, Lahaina Gateway is presenting its free yearly pre-Halloween event for keiki to enjoy treats from the merchants. Keiki costume contest prizes include sweets, toys, books, merchant gift cards, Maui Gold pineapples and pumpkins. These are free events for local residents and visitors to show appreciation for their customers.
The Festival of Savings Sidewalk Sale and in-store sales at participating stores begin at 10 a.m. on Oct. 26. Passion 4 Fashion Boutique will offer 50 percent off on Halloween costumes from Oct. 25-31, and Paia Mercantile will offer 10 percent off anything pink in October to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness on Maui.
At Barnes & Noble Bookstore, Halloween Story Time starts at 10 a.m. with “Go Away, Big Green Monster!” Lahaina Gateway’s Keiki Trick-or-Treat Night for children ages 12 and under will feature prizes for best, cutest, scariest, funniest and most original costumes. From 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., keiki will enjoy trick-or-treating at participating stores, followed by the costume contest at the Hula Girl Fountain from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
On Thursday, Oct. 31, at Outback Steakhouse, kids eat free (with an adult entre).
