By Staff | Jun 27, 2013

Guests (like these in 2011) attend “Savor the Sunset” benefits year after year to support community needs.

LAHAINA – The fourth “Savor the Sunset,” the annual Rotary Club of Lahaina benefit often described by residents as “the party of the year,” returns to the Royal Lahaina Resort on July 19 with a wine tasting, “fashion show extravaganza” and dance music by Deejay Serna

Event proceeds will support community educational and service projects, said club President Liz May.

The Rotary Club provided this year $27,000 in scholarships to needy students faced with mounting college tuition costs.

Sponsors include Passion4Fashion Boutique (provider of the fashion show), KCK Entertainment, Royal Lahaina and Young Market Co. (providing wine tasting stations in the early evening).

The 6 to 10 p.m. event, which is expected to attract upwards of 200 residents and visitors, will take place on the resort’s ocean lawn facing Molokai.

Selling for $50 in advance and $75 at the door, tickets are available from club members or by calling 5A Rent-A-Space at 669-5200.
