King Kamehameha III School students to stage May Day Ho‘ike
LAHAINA – King Kamehameha III School will present its annual May Day Ho’ike on Friday, May 17, at 8:30 a.m. on the K-2 Playground.
The May Day program fosters the school’s vision: Cherish the past, Explore the present, Embrace the future.
Each grade level will share a musical selection for the audience. In the spirit of sharing and showcasing students’ talent and aloha, May Day Court members will participate with their respective grades when they perform their May Day selection. This also shows unity among the students.
The students who will reign at this year’s festivities are King Makena Nagasako and Queen Vasioata Anasiveli Faleta.
The Royal Court representatives are Princesses Ryli Cherry, Neysha Fuentes, Jasmin Fujita, Aliya Harmon, Lily Kamaunu, Kaiulani Tanner, Althea Tejero and Alexa-Rhives Villa, and Princes Morgan Branum, Keoni Cardona-Ruiz, Joseph Heintz, Nikolas Kron, Lucas Otto, Daniel Pimentel, Brian Sandoval and Ieti Taue’etia.
Other court representatives include Ladies in Waiting Rory Delaney, Marilyn Hamm, Silupevaelei Long and Makena Yap; Kahili Bearers Sukaryo Heilscher, Kamakakoaokekaiolohia Ko, Jacob Lomeli-Alcantara and Maximus McKay; Spearsmen Angel Trejo-Lopez and Owen Wegner; Pulo’ulo’u Bearer Ka’ikekaikaikaohalemano Dizon; Conch Blower Kepakemapa Kuahuia-Morton; and Chanters Anjanette Patricia Aveno, Alana Koa and Aaliya Times. The Master and Mistress of Ceremonies will be Noa Bauchman and Veronica Lara.
