Maui County Democrats to hold annual convention

WAILUKU – The Maui County Committee of the Democratic Party of Hawaii will hold its annual convention on Saturday, May 4.

The event starts at 10 a.m. at the Maui Tropical Plantation restaurant.

Early registration is $20 until Friday, May 3, at 3 p.m. and includes a continental breakfast.

Scholarships are available to those traveling from Molokai and Lanai and individuals who can demonstrate financial need.

“All party members, officers, elected officials and others interested in moving the Democratic platform forward are encouraged to attend. If you are not a party member, we welcome you and invite you to join us and sign up at the convention,” said Todd Craine, chair of the Maui County Democrats.

Convention business will include the election of executive officers, discussing rule revisions and setting party goals for the upcoming year.
