Malino to perform free concert

Malino continues to perform extensively throughout the Hawaiian Islands. The band is currently in the studio recording their second album with an expected release by winter of 2013.
LAHAINA – Great live Hawaiian music continues on Front Street as the Hawaiian Music Series features Maui’s own Malino on Thursday, April 25, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the Baldwin Home lawn.
Malino started in 1999 under the guidance of Sam Ellis. They recorded their very successful first album, “Always Be Mine,” in 2003 at the age of 16. The album featured Hawaiian, island reggae and contemporary songs and quickly made them a popular favorite among locals. The band now consists of Allen Prest Jr., Vince Saures, Rodrigo Casio and Warren Corder-Hoopai.
Relax under the stars and enjoy the free concert brought to you by Lahaina Restoration Foundation.
Chairs are limited; blankets, mats and low beach chairs are welcome. The Baldwin Home Museum is located on the corner of Front and Dickenson streets. Call 661-3262 for information.
