Wukelic to offer personal enrichment classes in Lahaina
LAHAINA – University of Hawaii Maui College Lahaina Education Center Coordinator Marti Wukelic will facilitate two personal enrichment classes at the center during January and February.
“Positive Affirmations: Say It, Believe It, Be It” will address how practicing affirmations based on a practical, positive mindset can be a transformational process that can renew self-esteem, focus and attitudes about life.
Participants will identify what beliefs they’d like to change, learn about the four rules of successful affirmations and create a unique set of their own.
The class will be offered on three Tuesday evenings from Jan. 22 through Feb. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $89.
“Affirmations” will be followed by another three-meeting course called “Creating a Vision Board.”
Participants will learn to organize their goals and aspirations, plot out basic steps to achieve them, and end by creating a Vision Board poster (a visual representation of how we’d like our lives to be).
This hands-on course will lead participants through exercises that range from practical and pragmatic to artistic and creative, culminating in the creation of their own board.
After the course, students will have access to online support for continued goal achievement success.
This class will meet for three consecutive Tuesday evenings from Feb. 12-26. The cost for this course is $89.
In addition to serving as the administrator of the Lahaina Education Center, Wukelic is also a Business Careers/Management faculty member with over 25 years of prior experience as a job skills trainer.
The Lahaina Education Center is located at 60 Kenui St. within the Front Street Apartments. Kenui Street is approximately one block south of Lahaina Cannery Mall.
