Certified Energy Manager training to be offered on Maui

By Staff | Sep 20, 2012

KIHEI – Hawaii Energy is bringing the Association of Energy Engineers to Maui to present a five-day comprehensive training program and Certified Energy Manager (CEM) exam from Oct. 1-5 at the Douglas C. Malcolm Center in Kihei.

CEM certification is needed in various aspects of the energy industry to help reduce electricity use in hotels, government facilities, commercial buildings, school districts and other uses.

To support local professionals, Hawaii Energy is providing grants – on a first-come, first-served basis subject to funding and approval – to cover the majority of the program cost of $2,195. The first 40 qualified grant recipients will just need to contribute $300 each to register for the five days of training.

Attendees from counties other than Hawaii, Honolulu and Maui will need to pay the unsubsidized fee of $2,195.

Register at www.aeeprograms.com/ HawaiiEnergy, e-mail Jenn@aeecenter.org or call (770) 279-4391. The Douglas C. Malcolm Center is located at 1305 N. Holopono St., Suite 1.
