LAHAINA – Mayor Alan Arakawa and the Department of Parks and Recreation will officially open the West Maui Skate Park on Wednesday, April 25, at 9 a.m.

This long-awaited skate park is located at 245 Shaw St. in Lahaina, next to Lahaina Aquatic Center.

The park includes approximately 15,000 square feet of concrete features, including a street course for novices and deep bowls for experienced skaters.

The park also includes picnic tables and sports lighting.

After the grand opening and blessing, the park will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
