Sacred Hearts School Bazaar starts Friday

LAHAINA – With the theme “40 Years of Fun!”, the 40th annual Sacred Hearts Bazaar will take place next week Friday and Saturday, March 2-3, at the school campus located on the corner of Wainee and Dickenson streets in Lahaina.

Event hours are 4 to 10 p.m. both days.

Admission is free, and scrip may be purchased for a variety of bazaar highlights, including rides, games and food.

Family fun is the focus of the Sacred Hearts Bazaar, and festival organizers will have a variety of rides and games for all ages.

Keiki will enjoy the turbo tubs, Saber Tooth and Iron Man bouncers, Gladiator Play Zone, slides for all ages (including little ones) and carnival games.

Activities in the classrooms include a silent auction (first grade classroom), massage and chiropractic (second grade), book store (third grade), plant sale (fourth grade classroom and lawn), Goodies Store (fifth grade), temporary tattoos and face painting (sixth grade classroom) and Grand Prix – remote control race cars around the track – in the eighth grade classroom.

Local entertainment will feature the Sacred Hearts Choir, Scotty Rotten, eighth-grader Kieran Clark, 1810, Rabbit and the Propers, and An Den on Friday night.

The Saturday night lineup will include Benny Uyetake, Barefoot Minded, the Maui Prep Band 7AM, Sounds of Addiction, The Kanoa Show and the Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winning band Ekolu.

Alaka’i Paleka and other special guest disc jockeys will be the emcees for the event.

Other delectable delights that will be available include nachos, pulled pork sandwiches, shoyu chicken, pork and peas, kalua pork, hot dogs, Frappuccinos, shave ice, root beer floats and cotton candy.
