LIS students raise money through Dance-A-Thon
LAHAINA — The Lahaina Intermediate School PTSA’s annual Dance-A-Thon supports all PTSA events at the school.
The Dance-A-Thon — the PTSA’s once a year fund-raiser — will be held on Friday, Oct. 16, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.
The event is open to LIS students only. Students will be treated to an evening with a professional deejay, great music, fabulous food, door prizes and good times for all.
To attend the dance, students are challenged with raising a minimum of $40, with prizes generously donated by local businesses as an added incentive.
Students will collect donations from family and friends from Sept. 25 to Oct. 14 using PTSA collection envelopes.
The Lahaina Intermediate School PTSA helps support the Lahaina After School Tutoring Program, Reflections Art Program, Renaissance Program, annual LIS Volleyball Tournament, staff appreciation events, campus beautification, student incentives and student events throughout the school year.
Parent volunteers are needed for the Dance-A-Thon. For information on the Lahaina Intermediate School PTSA, call Liz Sager at (808) 281-5493.
