LAHAINA — The world is at your fingertips! Find long-lost friends, talk story long distance via e-mail, share photos, shop and find out what’s happening all around the world.

Take advantage of the power and convenience of computers. Kaunoa Senior Services will offer several computer classes this month at the West Maui Senior Center. Everyone age 55 and above is welcome to register.

“Before Beginning Computers” with Stuart Kahan will be held Monday, May 11, from noon to 3 p.m. A mouse, menus, side bars — if these words remind you of a back street restaurant instead of a computer, then this class is for you! This introductory class is for students who need to learn the basics. The fee of $5 is payable at class. Space is limited; register by May 10.

“Basic Internet” with Kahan is scheduled for Monday, May 18, from noon to 3 p.m. This beginning computer class will teach you how to navigate the web and explore the Internet at your own pace. Fee of $5 is payable at class; space is limited. Register by May 15.

“Discover Microsoft Word” with Al Nip is set for Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 19-28 from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. Learn to create basic Word documents like letters, signs and charts. Hands-on class practice will help you become comfortable with the key commands and menus of MS Word. Fee of $30 is payable prior to class. Space is limited; register by May 18.

It’s never too late to learn something new and enhance your life! To register for these classes, call 661-9432 or stop by the West Maui Senior Center at 788 Pauoa St., just off Lahainaluna Road.
