1980s-themed adult night set at Maui Ocean Center
MĀʻALAEA — Maui Ocean Center will host “Sharks After Dark: 80s Night at the Aquarium,” a 21-and-older event, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21. This 1980s-themed event features live tunes by Keoki Ruiz and Ami Schorr. Themed attire is encouraged.
Watch diver presentations in the aquarium’s 750,000-gallon Open Ocean exhibit showcasing hundreds of fish and five species of sharks. There will also be screenings of the “Humpbacks of Hawai’i” 3D film inside the Sphere Theater.
Venison meatballs, sushi rolls and more food will be available for purchase at Reef Café along with beer, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages. Shop at Maui Ocean Treasures, where guests can purchase locally made products in addition to “Maui Strong” T-shirts and stickers benefitting Hawai’i Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund.
Admission is $25 per person at mauioceancenter.com/reservations or $35 per person the day of the event and at the door. The aquarium’s annual members receive free admission.
