Set sail with ‘Moana Jr.’ at Maui Prep

A cast of 46 second- to fifth-graders will stage “Moana Jr.” at Maui Preparatory Academy on March 3-5.
NAPILI — Follow Moana’s fantastic ocean journey when Maui Preparatory Academy’s Lower School Drama Club presents “Disney’s Moana Jr.” on March 3, 4 and 5, 2023 at the school’s Bozich Center.
“Disney’s Moana Jr.” is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the 2016 Disney animated film, bringing the adventures of Moana and her village of Motunui to life onstage.
Starring Kinsey Reul as Moana and Paxton Bailey as Maui, the production features all the beloved songs from the film, including “How Far I’ll Go,” “Shiny,” and “You’re Welcome.”
Director Kristi Scott leads the cast of 46 second- to fifth-graders, including Bohden Varcak as Chief Tui, Emma Jaye Pulos as Sina and Emilia Pal as Gramma Tala.
General admission tickets are $10 and reserved seating is $15. Tickets are available beginning Feb. 12 through Eventbrite at mauiprep.org/arts.
Showtimes are Friday, March 3, at 6:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 4, at 2 and 6:30 p.m.; and Sunday, March 5, at 2 p.m.
Pre-show meals and concessions are available for purchase beginning one hour prior to showtime.
