"Drama Queen" Kristi Scott will lead the workshop.

LAHAINA — Theatre Theatre Maui and Great Scott Productions are pleased to announce the return of week-long winter break drama camps in Lahaina for keiki ages 5-13, and they have also added a one-day advanced acting comedy workshop for those ages 12-18.

All camps and the workshop will be held at Keopuolani Hall at Waiola Church at 535 Wainee St.

Details about each of these offerings are listed below, and online registration is active now on TTM’s website.

There are a total of four week-long camps. For keiki ages 5-10, morning camps run Dec 19-23 from 9 a.m. to noon and again between Dec 26-30. For ages 9-13, afternoon camps run from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. for the same dates.

Tuition for each camp is $150, and esteemed drama professionals Kathleen Schulz and Francis Tau’a return to team-teach all camps. The workshop will be led by the Drama Queen herself, Kristi Scott, on Monday, Dec 19, for ages 12-18, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at a cost of $25. “We are indeed fortunate to hold these camps this winter break at the Waiola Church hall, since locating venues continues to be our biggest challenge,” noted a spokesperson of TTM, “and we greatly appreciate their kokua! These camps were popular last winter, and we aim to continue providing such programs to benefit Lahaina’s families looking for educational and creative arts programs during such breaks and after-school, besides our annual six-week summer program.”

TTM was formed in Lahaina 31 years ago and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving the West Side community by bringing a full spectrum of hands-on theater experiences to its youth and adults. TTM is dedicated to providing low-cost and free programming in Lahaina.
