Enjoy winter festivities in Lahaina Town

By Staff | Dec 9, 2022

Nahiku and Olina Shaw gaze at the Lahaina Snowman. The six-foot snowman and Santa will return on Saturday, Dec. 10, at Campbell Park in Lahaina.

LAHAINA — Celebrate the holidays with beloved winter activities hosted by Lahaina Restoration Foundation this month.

Santa will make an appearance at Campbell Park on Saturday, Dec. 10. Attendees are encouraged to take photos with Santa and a six-foot-tall snowman before he melts. This free event runs from 6 to 8 p.m., featuring cookie decorating for keiki. The fresh cookies are made with aloha by the culinary students at Lahainaluna High School, and a variety of colorful frosting and decorative embellishments are provided.

The final event of the season features the Snow Zone, Maui’s largest opportunity to experience man-made “snow,” on Saturday, Dec. 17.

The Snow Zone showcases 5,000 pounds of man-made “snow” brought into Campbell Park, so kids (12 and under) can experience the magic of snow on island from 6 to 8 p.m.

Lahaina Restoration Foundation partners with the Maui Food Bank for this community event and requests one boxed or canned food item per keiki for entry.

The Holidays in Lahaina are open to the public and presented by Lahaina Restoration Foundation and in part by generous donors. For more information, visit lahainarestoration.org/holiday.
