Theater students to perform ‘Matilda, Jr. – The Musical’

WEST MAUI — Theatre Theatre Maui (TTM) and Great Scott Productions will present their summer youth performances of “Matilda, Jr. – The Musical” on July 21 through July 24 in the Bozich Center for Athletics and Performing Arts on the campus of Maui Preparatory Academy in Napili.

All showtimes are set for 7:30 p.m. The cast of 37 Maui youth are led by returning Camp Director Kristi Scott, along with Assistant Director Francis Taua, Music Director Aida Rose, Choreographer Felicia Chernicki-Wulf and a core group of volunteers. Packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, the story is revealed about Matilda, an extraordinary young girl with a powerful imagination who dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.

Come and enjoy watching the talented cast perform following their six weeks of concentrated instruction.

During each show-date, a silent auction will be held in support of the summer camp and future programs, and to raise funds for the upcoming Charity Walk in August. Ticket prices per show are 13 years to adult, $15; six to 12 years, $9; and three to five years, $5. Keiki two years and under are free.
