By Staff | May 20, 2022

Growing up in Hawaii with many diverse cultures led to Marvin Tevaga’s appreciation for various genres of music. He performs covers of his favorite tunes and, using his unique voice, redefines them in his own style.

LAHAINA — On Thursday, May 26, join Lahaina Restoration Foundation on the Baldwin Home lawn from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for another free Hawaiian Music Series concert as the sun descends behind Lanai. Maui native son Marvin Tevaga will share his melodious voice and soothing ‘ukulele strumming.

Marvin’s love for music began at the young age of eight when he picked up the ‘ukulele for the first time. He has been perfecting his talent and performing ever since.

Marvin has played with many of Hawaii’s favorite musicians across the islands to the South Pacific, New Zealand and the U.S. West Coast. He also entertains locally as a wedding musician. Visit his website, marvintevagamusic.net, for information.

Chairs are limited, and blankets, mats and low beach chairs are welcome. The Baldwin Home Museum is located in the heart of Lahaina at the corner of Front and Dickenson streets.

This concert is part of the foundation’s ongoing Hawaiian Music Series program supported by the friends and members of Lahaina Restoration Foundation. For more information, call the LRF office at (808) 661-3262.
