Alexander Academy students to present ‘The Sleeping Beauty’

MAKAWAO — Alexander Academy Performing Company will present the coming-of-age fairy tale “The Sleeping Beauty.”

This quintessential production features the ascending music by Peter Ilych Tchaikovsky.

Four shows will be held at Seabury Hall’s ‘A’ali’ikuhonua Creative Arts Center, featuring over 200 student ballet dancers ages three to adult.

In addition to the story of Sleeping Beauty, shows two and four will begin with opening entertainment showcasing AAPA’s tap, jazz, hip hop, musical theater and acting students.

Show times are Friday, May 31, at 6 p.m.; Saturday, June 1, at 2 and 6 p.m.; and Sunday, June 2, at 2 p.m.

Tickets for bench seating (back, center and side locations) are $25 for adults and $15 for keiki ages 2-12. VIP seats (front, center and balcony locations) are available at $35 for adults and $25 for keiki. All seats are general admission. Reserved seating is for sponsors of $250 or higher. Discounts are available for multiple-show purchases.
