LAHAINA — On Friday, Nov. 13, artist and poster contest judge George Allen selected Rich Kenny’s painting “Pioneer Inn Morning” as the image for the 2022 Lahaina Poster.

The Lahaina Arts Society Award was presented to Michael Clements for his pastel titled “Stop Wishin’ Let’s Go Fishin.’ “

One-thousand posters will be printed, signed and numbered, and put on sale starting next week throughout Lahaina.

This is the 34th year of the Lahaina Poster Contest and the second year that Lahaina Restoration Foundation has coordinated the contest in conjunction with Lahaina Arts Society and Village Galleries.

Village Galleries at 120 Dickenson St. in Lahaina is hosting an exhibit of all entries in the Lahaina Poster Contest. Works by 40 artists in various media are included.

The show runs through Dec. 3. Come by and vote for your favorite to receive the People’s Choice Award.

The limited edition 2022 poster can be purchased at the gallery and will be available by Dec. 3.
