Hilarious murder mystery ‘Clue’ being staged at Iao Theater
WAILUKU — Maui On Stage and ProArts present “Clue,” their first-ever co-production and the first large-cast, full-scale theatrical production on Maui since 2020.
“Clue” will be staged Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m., through Nov. 14 at the Historic Iao Theater. The house opens 30 minutes before curtain.
Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount Pictures film that was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery.
The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu.
When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects.
Led by Wadsworth the butler, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up.
The run time is 90-100 minutes with no intermission. Tickets are $30-$45.
The play was created by Sandy Rustin, Hunter Foster and Eric Price, based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lyn.
“Clue” On Stage is being presented with special approval from the Maui County Mayor’s Office.
