Maui artist Michael Clements’ pastel paintings include “Sailing To Lanai.”

LAHAINA — Village Gallery will host the Maui Pastel Society’s first annual Pastel Show from Oct. 1-15, 2021.

The awards and opening reception will be held Friday, Oct. 1, from 6-9 p.m at the 120 Dickenson St. gallery.

Painting demonstrations will be held on Friday, Oct. 8 and 15, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Artists will also plein air paint on the Lahaina Public Library lawn area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9.

The Pastel Show juror is Stan Sperlak, and the Awards Judge is Inger Tully.

This show features artists from Hawaii, the Mainland and Canada working in the magical medium of pastel.
