Kahumoku’s Slack Key Show presents two multi-artist performances

NAPILI — George Kahumoku Jr’s “Slack Key Show – Masters of Hawaiian Music” will be presenting two extra special multi-artist shows.
On Wednesday, Sept 1, from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m., George will be hosting his annual All-Star Show featuring the 12 instructors teaching at his Slack Key Guitar & Ukulele Workshop.
Guest artists include grandmaster slack key guitarist Led Kaapana; master slack key instrumentalist Jeff Peterson; ukulele great Herb Ohta Jr.; steel guitarist Sonny Lim; Hawaiian traditionalist Kevin Brown; charismatic ukulele artist Peter deAquino; stellar graduates of the University of Hawaii Maui College’s Institute of Hawaiian Music, Brad Bordessa and Max Angel; Lahaina Music’s Jason and JJ Jerome; and ‘Ohana regulars Sterling Seaton and Shem Kahawaii.
Beautiful Wainani Kealoha will dance hula occasionally during the show and at the finale with a few of her workshop culture students.
On Saturday, Sept. 4, the Slack Key Multi-Artist Show features the same artists again, but the three-song grand finale of the show will additionally present the Kahumoku Workshop Ensemble that has been learning these songs at Georgeʻs week-long music immersion workshop.
Limited tickets are available at $60 for general admission for these two star-studded shows. Only 40 tickets per show are available to the public.
Reservations and masks are required. Seats will be socially-distanced according to ticketed groups.
