NAPILI — George Kahumoku Jr., the host of Maui’s Grammy Award-winning Slack Key Show – Masters of Hawaiian Music, featuring some of Hawaii’s premier slack key guitarists as guest artists, is now adding Saturdays due to popular demand.

Their traditional Wednesday 6:30 p.m. show continues, and the two nights each week will have different offerings.

Kahumoku and the show’s beautiful hula dancer, Wainani Kealoha, will grace both shows. Charismatic ukulele co-host Peter deAquino will continue entertaining on Wednesday shows, while rising star ukulele artist Max Angel will co-host the new Saturday shows.

Other ohana performers Sterling Seaton on slack key guitar, JJ Jerome on ukulele and vocals, Shem Kahawaii on slack key guitar and vocals, and Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winning featured artists will grace the stage each month.

Sean Na’auao — famous for his song “Fish & Poi” — will perform on July 21. Other guest masters will be performing each month at Maui’s top live Hawaiian show. Performances are every Wednesday and now every Saturday, too.

Seating capacity is reduced for social distancing, so reservations are a must and masks are required.
