Lahaina Arts Society to celebrate its gallery reopening
LAHAINA — Lahaina Arts Society’s Banyan Tree Gallery is holding its Grand Reopening on Saturday, April 24.
Located on the first floor of the Old Lahaina Courthouse, the gallery will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
For 53 years, the Banyan Tree Gallery has been an international destination for art lovers and collectors.
“We are excited to showcase our artists’ latest creations in our freshly painted and reimagined gallery,” said William F. Smith III, executive director of Lahaina Arts Society.
“Everyone is welcome, and private gallery showings are available upon request,” he continued.
“It’s been a long year away from our community. Visitors and the local community will now be able to continue to enjoy the remarkable art of professionally juried artists who demonstrate their craft and talk story about art and community on Maui. Enhancing this wonderful news is the return of the Arts Festivals, in the past held under the Banyan Tree, are now located at the Lahaina Cannery Mall. Our first weekend back was April 10th and 11th. It was a tremendous success.”
