Plans announced for David Malo Day

Hawaiiana Club students at Lahainaluna High School rehearse for the upcoming David Malo Day Ho’olaule’a on April 4. This year’s theme will be “Kinohi” (Origins), presented through vignettes, tableau, songs and hula.
LAHAINA – With the theme “Kinohi” (Origins), the David Malo Day Ho’olaule’a will be held at Lahainaluna High School on Saturday, April 4.
The popular event will begin with the traditional Poi Supper at Hale Pa’ina from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $21.
New this year, transportation from Hale Pa’ina to Boarders’ Field will be provided for those with disabilities and kupuna for the Sunset Pageant at 6 p.m.
The Hawaiiana Club and Boarders’ Chorus will explore four origins of our legacy – Our Islands, Hula, Kamehameha and Lahainaluna – at the pageant.
