Keiki and their parents listen to entertaining children’s stories presented by Joanne Laird at a recent Story Time at Maui Ocean Center.

MAALAEA – Joanne Laird, program director for the Read Aloud America Program, will present a Keiki Story Time in Maui Ocean Center’s Makai Theatre at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24.

This 30-minute story time is geared for children ages pre-kindergarten through second grade and will feature holiday-themed children’s picture books.

There will be healthy snacks provided by Maui Ocean Center for the children. At the conclusion of the read-aloud session, each child will be able to select a new book from the Read Aloud America library to take home.

There will also be drawings for door prizes at the conclusion of the program.

Space is limited, and reservations must be made in advance. Children are admitted free to the park, and parents/caregivers will be offered the special kama’aina price of $18.95. After the story time, enjoy the rest of the afternoon in the park.
