Lahainaluna Festival set for Saturday
LAHAINA – The Lahainaluna High School Festival, “I KA NANI O LELE – Amidst the beauty of Lahaina,” will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 4 to 9 p.m. on the LHS campus.
Enjoy an evening of family fun, food and entertainment, as locals and visitors join together to celebrate and support the student activities, events and athletics of Lahainaluna High School.
Festival attractions include favorite Maui eateries and food trucks, local artisans and vendors presenting their crafts and clothing, game booths and keiki activities, a fabulous silent auction and amazing entertainment. The lineup of talented Maui musicians includes Kaleo Phillips, Justin Philips, George Kahumoku Jr. and Marvin Tevaga, as well as performances by Lahainaluna’s Hawaiian Club and Filipino Club.
The festival benefits the school community by providing a venue for the 60 school organizations to fund-raise to meet the needs of their programs. Proceeds of this event will be used to enrich the learning experiences for students, faculty and staff of Lahainaluna, and assist the funding of extra-curricular activities and sports.
Pre-sale tickets are available at the Lahaina Branch of Central Pacific Bank, Lahaina Music and Lahaina Visitor Center for $5 per person. Admission at the gate is $10 per person; children five and under are free. Complimentary parking will be offered. For information, visit www.lahainalunaptsa.org or the event’s Facebook page. n
