LAHAINA – Lahaina Restoration Foundation welcomes all to an evening of celebration! The public is invited to join the board of directors, staff and members on Friday, May 17, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Old Lahaina Prison at 187 Prison St. in Lahaina for an evening of theater, Hawaiian music and pupus.

The highlight of the evening will be an intimate and engaging performance by Moses Goods, an award-winning, Maui-born writer, storyteller and actor.

Goods will portray David Malo, a 19th century Native Hawaiian historian and scholar, in a 20-minute dramatic monologue.

The Annual Meeting will include a PowerPoint and report by Lahaina Restoration Foundation Executive Director Theo Morrison on the organization’s accomplishments in 2018. Scholarship recipients for 2019 will be announced.

The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available at the municipal lot on the corner of Prison and Front streets.

Goods’ performance is courtesy of Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic Site and Archives and funded in part by Hawaiian Tourism Authority.
