WEST MAUI – Village Galleries at 120 Dickenson St. in Lahaina will exhibit recent work by Maui artists Jim Lynch and Jamie Roth in a show from April 19 to May 9.

The gala opening reception will be held April 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. Enjoy a fun-filled evening of art, music and refreshments. All are welcome.

Painting demonstrations are set for April 26 and May 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. For information, call 661-4402.

Lynch is an American colorist. He paints, en plein air, in oils and pastels throughout Maui and in his Upcountry studio.

Roths’s award-winning oil paintings feature some of Maui’s most stunning vistas, including Wailea, Makena, Lahaina and Upcountry.

In addition, Village Galleries is co-sponsor of the 27th annual Celebration of the Arts at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.

On April 19 and 20 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Village Galleries artists will hold art demonstrations.

This year’s participating artists include Kathleen Alexander (poster signing), George Allan (palette knife oil painting demonstration), Frank Andrews (hands-on petroglyph art), Michael Clements (painting demonstration), Bonnie Fox (hands-on mixed media), Betty Hay Freeland (oil painting demonstration), Denby Freeland (hands-on kapa designs), Rich Kenny (hands-on watercolor), Terry Klerlein (hands-on island baskets), Kathy Long (hands-on graphite drawing), Casey McLain (hands-on acrylic inks), Darice Machel McGuire (hands-on watercolor), Macario Pascual (hands-on mixed media) and Joe Fletcher (hands-on oil painting).
