WAILUKU – Tickets are on sale now for Maui Academy of Performing Arts’ annual Spring Gala on Friday, March 8, at 6:30 p.m. The event raises funds for MAPA’s performing arts programs for kids.

This year’s theme is “Toast to Tinseltown,” and each of the 20 tables will be uniquely decorated to celebrate a different Hollywood movie. Guests are invited to dress as their favorite star of the silver screen or character from a film.

In addition to drinks, dinner, dessert and fabulous entertainment, guests will mingle with actors dressed as famous Hollywood stars, like Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Clark Gable and Shirley Temple. Funds raised in the live auction and Raise the Paddle support scholarships for youth ages 8-18 in MAPA’s Summer Musical Theatre Camp.

Tickets are $150 and include dinner and two drinks. Guests must be 21 and older. Tickets are available online at mauiacademy.org or by calling MAPA at (808) 244-8760.

A nonprofit organization, Maui Academy of Performing Arts is now in its 45th year of providing performing arts programs on Maui, including dance and drama classes, school break camps, school residencies and dance and theatre performances.

MAPA’s programs enrich the lives of more than 22,000 people each year.
