The Wharf to celebrate the Year of the Boar

Master Ben Seng Au and Au’s Shaolin Arts Society will usher in the Year of the Boar with lion dances at The Wharf Cinema Center on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 11:30 a.m.
LAHAINA – Wake up the sleeping lions and celebrate the arrival of the new Lunar Year, The Year of the Boar, at The Wharf Cinema Center on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 11:30 a.m.
The Wharf Cinema Center is proud to present its 34th annual Chinese New Year celebration led by Master Ben Seng Au and Au’s Shaolin Arts Society.
At the Front Street entrance of The Wharf, fireworks will crackle as the celebration begins. The dancing lions will make their way to the Mid-Level Courtyard Restaurants as the drums beat to announce their arrival.
The Wharf’s special guests will be the kindergarten students of King Kamehameha III Elementary School and Sacred Hearts School, as well as keiki from Holy Innocents and Kamaaina Kids Lahaina.
After the playful lions perform, the children will feed their Lai See envelopes to the hungry lions for good luck in the New Year.
All are welcome, and admission is free.
The Wharf Shops and Restaurants are located at 658 Front Street across from the Banyan Tree in Lahaina Town.
The Wharf is open from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily. Validated parking is available in Wharf parking lots located right behind the center (enter from Luakini or Wainee streets), or catch the Maui Bus from Kaanapali, Central Maui or South Maui to The Wharf.
