Watch ‘Ghostbusters’ in Campbell Park

By Staff | Oct 25, 2018

The season of films kicked off in September with Disney’s “Moana.” Locals attended from all over the island to sing along and create art inspired by navigation. Maui Ocean Center and Maui Music Mission participated in the event.

LAHAINA – Lahaina Arts Association (LAA) and Fuzz Box Productions are presenting a season of free movie screenings in Lahaina’s Campbell Park.

On Friday, Oct, 26, join the crowd for the original “GhostBusters.” Free activities for children and families start at 4:30 p.m., including face painting, arts activities, a community mural, food vendors and more.

Showtime is at 7 p.m. Bring a blanket or chair, spread out on the lawn with your family and friends and enjoy the movie.

The Friday night schedule also includes “How to Train Your Dragon” on Nov. 30, “Nightmare Before Christmas” on Dec. 21, “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” on Jan. 25, and “PeeWee’s Big Adventure” on Feb. 22.

This community event is made possible by local business spnosors, including Ono Slider Co., Down the Hatch, Lahaina Tax & Accounting, Lulu Lemonade and Captain Jack’s.

LAA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity dedicated to providing Maui County youth access to the creative arts through education and artistic opportunities. The group currently hosts free after school art classes each week at Lahaina Boys & Girls Club, Honokowai Kau Hale and Lahaina Surf.
