Watch ‘Moana’ in Campbell Park
LAHAINA – Lahaina Arts Association and Fuzz Box Productions will present a season of free movie screenings in Lahaina’s Campbell Park, starting with Disney’s “Moana” on Saturday, Sept. 29.
Free activities for children and families start at 4 p.m., including face painting, arts activities, a community mural, food vendors and a special performance by the kids of Maui Music Mission.
Showtime is at 7 p.m. Bring a blanket or chair, spread out on the lawn with your family and friends, and enjoy the first movie of the season.
The Friday night schedule also includes “Ghostbusters” (the original) on Oct 26, “How to Train Your Dragon” on Nov. 30, “Nightmare Before Christmas” on Dec 21, “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” on Jan 25 and “PeeWee’s Big Adventure” on Feb. 22.
“We want to bring more community art experiences to the locals of Lahaina” said LAA Executive Director Erin Brothers. “This is not just a movie in the park; it’s an opportunity to celebrate Lahaina and to give back.”
This community event is made possible by local business sponsors: Ono Slider Co., Down the Hatch, Lahaina Tax & Accounting, Cool Cat Cafe, and Captain Jack’s.
