Kuaola to play free concert

By Staff | Jul 26, 2018

Kuaola entertains at community festivals under the Banyan Tree in Lahaina and in Hana.

LAHAINA – Lahaina Restoration Foundation is pleased to present Kuaola for this month’s Hawaiian Music Series concert on Thursday, July 26, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Staged on the front lawn of the Baldwin Home Museum on the corner of Dickenson and Front streets, it’s the ideal spot to enjoy Hawaiian music.

Similar to a verdant mountain where life thrives and grows, Kuaola, a trio of talented young men, are fast becoming rising stars on the local music scene.

Formed in 2016, Kuaola band members are Kalani Librando-Souza, ukulele player and falsetto vocalist; Nalu Robinson, bass player from Wailuku; and Shem (Kema) Kahawaii, slack key guitarist.

Kuaola performs regularly at community events, Queen Ka’ahumanu Center in Kahului and the Grand Wailea Resort.
