KAHULUI – One of the world’s finest acoustic guitarists, Andy McKee will perform on Friday, July 14, in the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s McCoy Studio Theater at 7:30 p.m.?

His crossover success to over 150 million YouTube viewers underscores his emergence as one of today’s most unique and influential artists.

To fans of popular music, McKee entertains both the eye and the ear as he magically transforms the steel string guitar into full orchestra via his use of altered tunings, tapping, partial capos, percussive hits and a signature two-handed technique.

He’s been featured as a cover story in both Acoustic Guitar magazine in the U.S. and Acoustic magazine in the U.K., and McKee is also the figurehead of the unique Guitar Masters tours around the world.

His live performances have become a point of fascination with his loyal followers. His “Live Book” album included the finest takes from his live shows with the hope to capture and showcase the energy he creates for those who have not been able to attend his concerts.

McKee is the first artist to be signed to CGP Sounds founded by premiere guitar virtuoso Tommy Emmanuel.?
