Uluwehi Guerrero to perform at Picnic for Poki concert

Uluwehi Guerrero continues to garner new fans with every performance, pushing Hawaiian music ever closer to the global world music.

WAILUKU – Roselani Place and Ola Na Mele Productions invite you to a Picnic for Poki at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, at historic Kaahumanu Church in Wailuku Town, 103 South High St.

The featured guest with live Hawaiian entertainment will be Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner Uluwehi Guerrero with Halau Hula Kauluokala.

Guerrero entertains with traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music and hula.

He has toured nonstop and has been critically acclaimed from California to New York, Canada to Japan. Guerrero has performed at one of the world’s most coveted venues, Carnegie Hall. Come enjoy the delightful harmonies of this talented artist and watch beautiful hula by members of his Halau Hula Kauluokala.

Bring your lunch with you and enjoy fresh baked cookies from Roselani Place. Relax under the monkey pod tree for an hour or so at this free event, which is open to the public.

Picnic for Poki is held every third Thursday of the month to continue bringing the spirit of aloha and Hawaiian music to the Maui community in honor of the late Allen “Braddah Poki” Pokipala, who was dedicated to sharing Hawaiian music throughout various venues in Hawaii.
