‘Youth Fun Day’ set
WAILUKU – High school students from Maui Vicariate Catholic parishes are invited to the 2015 “Youth Fun Day” on Sunday, Oct. 4. St. Anthony Church and St. Anthony Junior-Senior High School will serve as host facility.
The all-day event will open with attendance at the 9 a.m. mass, followed by workshops, discussions and fun games and activities. Rev. Edwin Conselvo, a LaSallette priest and the new associate pastor at Christ the King parish in Kahului, will be the featured keynote speaker. The day will end by 8 p.m. with a closing prayer ceremony presented by members of St. Anthony High School’s LIFE (Living In Faith Experience) team.
The theme is “Mission ‘I’m’Possible” and fosters spiritual and leadership growth, promotes friendship amongst the parish students, and encourages a strong and committed journey as disciples. It is being coordinated by the Maui Vicariate youth group moderators with Mary Jean Bega of the Kula community and Art Fillazar from St. Anthony serving as program directors.
Interested high school students need to contact their parish moderator for the registration forms and other details. The deadline to submit forms along with a $10 fee is Wednesday, Aug. 26.
