WAILUKU – “The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy” features an original story – and it’s every father’s nightmare.

Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family.

If that’s not upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he has never done before: keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.

Everything will change for the whole family on “one normal night,” as they host a dinner for Wednesday’s boyfriend and his parents.

“The Addams Family” stars Jerry Eiting as Gomez, Lin McEwen as Morticia, Lia Krieg as Wednesday and Dale Button as Uncle Fester. The cast includes two West Side actors: Ann Marie Wilder and Micah Giovanni.

Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 p.m. on Sundays, through Aug. 2 at the Historic Iao Theater.
